Mother is a sculptural installation with projection and sound centered on a plaster cast of the artist’s mother’s hands, held in an open gesture. A video of spoken word poetry is projected onto the sculpture, its subtitles illuminating within the open hands. A single tealight is placed as an act of reverence to the artist's mother, as well as the universal or divine mother.
